New Moon in Sagittarius

As you begin to realize that every different type of music, everybody’s individual music, has its own rhythm, life, language and heritage, you realize how life changes and you learn how to be more open and adaptive to what is around us.   Yo-Yo Ma

The New Moon in Sagittarius (our beliefs) is conjunct the Sun (soul purpose) rising at the horizon projecting our beliefs into the world.   We want everyone to know what we think about (fill in the blank — ).  Jupiter rules Sagittarius – there is an opportunity to expand our beliefs, our philosophy of life and, with an open mind, listen to what others have to say.  Our beliefs are only one-sided when we don’t include another perspective or at least attempt to understand the other side.  We don’t have to agree with anyone to maintain our beliefs – we can stand in our own truth and respect the other side.

Moon is squaring North node in Virgo in the 9th house (ruler of Jupiter and Sagittarius) and South Node in Pisces 3rd house, conjunct Neptune.  This understanding other people’s perspectives will be challenging.  The South Node represents the past, our poor coping skills and Pisces represents illusions.

The North Node is where we are headed and the North Node is in Mercury-ruled Virgo – questioning our beliefs – using discrimination and analysis to sort the bullshit out from the truth.  This is going to be challenging for us to do yet if we want to be the change we wish to see out in the world.  Be open to and flexible to change.

Your thoughts are a like a light switch that affect how you feel.  You have complete control over your inner world. When you change your thoughts, you change your inner world – and therefore, your perceptions of the world shift.

Find Your Neutral

Are you feeling out of sorts?  Can’t gain any clarity?  Are you unable to stop ruminating about a situation or a person’s behavior?  Well, look no further —

I came across this very simple meditation/visualization to share with you that induces a state of clarity. This visualization was created by Colette Baron-Reid –you can check her out by clicking on her name. This is a free meditation I received through an email subscription — I’m going to share this meditation/visualization with you —

I’m tweaking it a bit.

Before you make a decision, access your intuitive guidance system or an oracle (Tarot for example) you want to be in a state of neutrality —

Remaining neutral means that you have no view or strong feeling either way in or regarding a conflict or disagreement —

It’s really hard to make a clear decision when you are in an emotional frenzy.

Just imagine what happens when you blow an emotional gasket — It’s like a dragon Scorched the land and a few people in its midst.  You feel a sense of relief — the people in your life do not feel relieved.

Here goes (it’s my version of Colette’s meditation):

1. Sit in a comfortable position — with your feet on the floor. Close your eyes.
2. Take three slow, deep breaths. You will find your body relaxing.
3. Identify how you feel — sometimes you feel sensations in your body and can’t identify an emotion —
let the sensations guide you to an emotion — are you angry? Sad? Upset? Anxious? Afraid?
4. What does this emotion look like? Imagine what the emotion looks like — what do you see?
5. Do you like it there? Do you want to stay there? Does it feel good? Most likely NO! You don’t want to be there
it’s pretty uncomfortable!
6. Imagine a mythical bird fly out of the sky — a helpful mythical bird big enough to support your weight and what does this bird look like? What message does this bird have
for you? Take note of this.
7. Now, you are going to hop on top of this bird — and this benevolent bird is going to fly into the blue sky and all you see around you is blue sky.
Look around you at the blue sky —
8. Look below to where you were and to the emotion that had trapped you — what does it look like now that you are high in the sky?
You will feel different —
9. You can use this meditation anytime you are feeling the need to find a state of neutrality and peace.

I started this meditation off feeling extremely irritated and impulsively wanted to tell a few people off.  That’s never a good sign — your mind convinces you it is the BEST idea ever to tell someone off– but trust me — it is the WORST idea.  Don’t buy into your own bullshit!

When I completed the meditation, I felt relaxed (parasympathetic nervous system reset) — I was able to see the situations and people for what they were (someone else’s situation — someone else’s problem).  I just got entangled in trying to unravel it!  Can anyone say co-dependent three times backwards?  Really fast?

What did I do?  Nothing.

If something was important enough to say — then this would be a good time to use wise mind communication style (assertive communication) — to address an issue — no one wants to be a doormat —

Thank you for reading.

If you try this meditation/visualization — tell me how you felt before and after — what do you do to find  your neutral and a sense of clarity?  I’d love to hear from you.

Taurus Full Moon

Full Moon Monday, November 14  8:52 AM EST — 5:52 AM PST

The Full Moon is the moment of possibility and birth of our new moon manifestation.  You have done the work, now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor – and, continue forward with new knowledge and information you did not have at the beginning of the New Moon.

The Moon in Taurus – opposing the Sun in Scorpio– how will we balance these opposites?  The Sun is expressing intense conflicts that have arisen that portend a transformation – and the Moon wants to solidify this expression into material form – something tangible and meaningful –   How do we relate to the relationships in our life now that the shit has hit the fan?  Do we fight?  Do we ex-communicate (if you do that it Scorpio, it sticks) – or do we find a way to come together collectively (The Sun in 11th house) and do what’s right for all instead of what’s right for some?

The chart of the Full Moon has the Sun in 11th house at the cusp of the 12th and moon moving the 5th house.  What risks will and should we take toward feeling safe and protected?  What boundaries are important and not important?  The 5th house is about risk, children, what we love to do – it’s where we perform – what will we do individually that contributes to the collective?  11th house is the collective — and with Scorpio here, it’s about quality not quantity.

The pattern in the sky is a locomotive pattern and this is a very powerful pattern.  Power will emerge from a strong sense of lack or need – will we be looking for someone else to ‘fix’ the problem (collectively) and in our personal lives?  The empty houses that this full moon will need to fulfill are the 6th– 9th houses – about how we relate to one another (any kind of one-on-one partnership) in our daily lives (6th house) and use the information (Gemini in 6th, and Cancer in 7th) we have gleaned to form our beliefs and philosophy of life and of the world at large?

The North Node is in Virgo in the 9th house – as a nation we are called to heal the our beliefs and philosophy of life (and heal the wounds those beliefs and philosophies of life have caused others — healing shame, blame, guilt, illusion)– Virgo is mutable – and so we are adjusting our beliefs — Will it be my way or the highway?  What can we do on a microcosmic level that will move us toward the change we need on a macrocosmic livel? Are our goals too Lofty to be reached or too fixed to adjust?

This weekend, Venus forms a sextile to Neptune and trine to North Node – the energy is there to harmonize and cooperate to reach our goals – and to create art, music, literature (or merely view, listen, or read it) – and to open our hearts and come from a place of LOVE.

Change: Will it be a Revolution or the same ole thing?

Moon is in Aries toward the last 6 degrees – the last day or two I have been feeling an amazing surge of fire energy – this springtime energy to make things happen.  I can see the buds sprouting and excited for the rest of the garden to fully bloom.  Where are these Aries Flames taking us?

We are two days away from a full Moon in Taurus – some earth to ground us in the material world!  Mars has just moved into Aquarius, Venus into Capricorn (more reserved values) and Mercury into Sagittarius (are we going to bullshit ourselves and allow others to bullshit us?  Or will we only accept the truth and be truthful in return?).  My, oh, my!  What adventures will we be going on?

Aquarius is all about community — and from a Human Design perspective — we have the Channel of Community highlighted.  We also have the Channel of Structuring — possible new insights about community (on a big and small scale).   We’ve had this old way that we’ve come to be familiar with (south node gate 37) and there is a new way on the horizon (north node gate 40).  Gate 40 is the tribe and it is all about support.  We very much feel alone and unsupported – many of us do this past week and this feeling is growing.  And those of us who feel unsupported and alone  are wanting to stand together and unite – yet, we cannot unite in the same fashion in which we have done in the past (like the blind leading the blind – or even worse, the image of the cruel sheep herder leading sleeping sheep over a cliff to their deaths) – we must find a new way to continue to become more independent from the past so we can grow!

What we are seeing are people rejecting Trump (the seemingly negative force) so that we can become more liberated!  Is rejecting the negative the only way toward liberation?  Or do we embrace the negative in order to liberate?

Certainly, a revolution is rising on the horizon – can you smell it?

What is the foundation that we would need to establish such liberation/revolution within our community and in our smaller communities (a ‘Brexit’ where some states secede from the rest of the US to form its own leadership? or will the electors actually vote for Clinton instead of Trump?  It may not be legally possible — although one never knows what would happen if we tried something different for once)

We could take some learning lessons from the ‘Brexit’ and expand our awareness into the depths we need to create to build the kind of nation we really want that will support us in the direction we want to go toward – we want a leader who will lead us where we want to go.

On a personal scale, we want to know how to access our own authority so we can know the right way to go. What is your personal philosophy and how does that align with the actions you take, the job you work, the people you spend time with?

Now that Mars has moved into Aquarius there is this drive to satisfy our humanitarian concerns.  We don’t want our humanitarian rights to be overlooked – we have certain rights being citizens of the US – and those rights could very well be taken away before we even knew what happened.  Where will all this take us?

We will have to wait and see what transpires over the next two weeks

A Little Pluto with your Scorpio

On the Scorpio New Moon, I made an intention to be more truthful with myself, to dive deep and pull out the roots of old conditioning that clouded my ability to be true and authentic.  I’m a Leo with Leo rising and the Sun is not too far from the Ascendant – oh, darkness?  Piece of cake!

So I can have this child-like attitude that facing my truth is going to be like shining a flashlight on a bed post.  It’s only a bed post, for heaven’s sake.  I forget about where I need to travel to get to that truth (until it really is just a bed post) – it’s not always a jolly journey (if you know what I mean!).  Scorpio laughs at the cavalier Leo – you can’t burn away your demons and dragons without facing some sort of fear.  And hence we have the secondary ruler of Scorpio, Pluto, snatching me into the underworld – not entirely against my will —  yet with such audacity.

The New Moon is all about planting the seeds that you want to manifest – and you can manifest by intending to go deeper and deeper.  What happens when you release during a New Moon – should you ask the release to wait until the Full Moon?  Does it mean you are out of sync with the cycles of nature if you aren’t on schedule?  What does it mean to be ‘in tune’ and ‘in the flow’?

To be honest, sometimes, I just don’t get it.  There is so much misinformation out there on how all things ‘spiritual’ work that it creates this dysfunction between you, your body and the truth.  While I’m sitting in my alchemy lab investigating, dissecting, understanding, applying — I come to find a different truth — people are out there manifesting up a storm and living successful lives (really, they’re only telling you about the successes and not the failures)– I’m still trying to figure out how to tie my shoes and what the word ‘manifesting’ really means. You can’t get to the manifesting if you aren’t clear about what you want.  Yet, sometimes, manifestations occur with a fleeting thought and a forgetful mind.

Pluto is also about fear and confrontation and power struggles.   These are always internal power struggles with self and/or other.  For example,  I fight with my inner demons.  I argue with the darkness and tell it to go away.  I dispute my unhelpful thought patterns and do affirmations.  Does anything ever resolve itself with arguing?  We stay at the same level when we have little understanding —

It is the Leo way to play with one’s demons – because demons aren’t real, right?  They’re really mice in disguise.  And in the end, I can be the hero for having slayed my demons – and people will cheer me on as pass by in a regal motorcade and crown me as the Queen – oh, wait – that is the Neptune fantasy keeping me from my task at hand.

Pluto will only accept what’s true.  You can’t control other people’s perceptions of you no matter how hard you try —

So, Pluto, then is about removing masks and seeing people, yourself and the darkness for who and what they really are.

Wherever Pluto is in your chart and wherever Pluto is transiting in your chart is where you need to be most truthful.

Questions to ask yourself:

Where do you need to be most truthful and what do you need to be most truthful about?

Where do you hold the most fear?

How is this fear controlling your life?  What would be the worst thing that would happen and if you avoid it, will it never happen?

Will you always be in fear?

What would it take for you to face your fears?

What would you have to do?

As we continue through the last week of Scorpio  — encourage yourself to commit to your intentions – take that extra step – go a little bit further and deeper.  Keep yourself in alignment with your whole being – that nagging voice – it may be your intuition speaking to you – or it may be your mind trying to talk you out of something wonderful. Or is it your mind trying to talk you into something not quite right?

Scorpio is the best time for diving deeper into the unknown because what you will find will enrich your life and make you whole again.  We can’t know how far we can go until we actually go.
