As the new Moon in Virgo two weeks back was communing with the Sun, charging itself up for this week’s Full Moon, we wanted to make sure we didn’t take action too soon because there were still minor details to iron out.
No pressure, right? Haha –
The Full Moon in Aries is opposite Sun in Libra and opposition is always a time for balance. What do we need to balance?
Aries is an individual that springs into action without needing the other to do so. Aries is self-reliant and self-interested, bold, and willing to venture where no one else has ventured before. Aries unconscious can attack first and ask questions later, aggressive and hot-headed.
Sun, Mercury and Jupiter are in Libra. Libra represents love, peace, beauty, harmony, balance, caring for others. When Libra is unconscious can think more of the other than of oneself (co-dependent anyone?) and especially when wanting to maintain peace and avoid conflict will override their own needs. Libra is a super-hero of avoiding conflict at all costs.
We learn to balance our self-interest with caring for others; our anger with love and peace. We can be angry and still be peaceful. We can have conflict and be loving. We can think of our own needs and respect others needs at the same time.
What’s interesting here is that Mars rules Aries (where the Moon is now) and Venus rules Libra (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter). Venus and Mars in Virgo will be conjunct one another or are conjunct now calling for us to merge our actions with our values.
Uranus is in Aries opposite Jupiter – I mean, when will the chaos end? Uranus in Aries is the radical individual who unexpectedly breaks the laws and creates chaos in his/her wake. Jupiter in Libra is about Justice – and also taking the easy way out. Do we want peace at any cost? Or are we willing to sit down and really consider the circumstances. For example, are stricter gun laws really going to keep radicalized individuals from breaking laws and creating chaos?
To add to the stress we have Pluto square the Sun, Mercury and Moon. Pluto won’t let Jupiter take the easy way out. Pluto represents the underworld, our unconscious and what lurks in our unconscious that needs to come to light. Pluto says, ‘you think you worked this one out, but you haven’t’. For issues to dissolve we have to work on them; we have to heal them from within. Pluto will only accept the truth. If we resist or Deny that truth, it makes the healing more painful. Pluto is calling for transformation – taking a walk on the beach is not going to resolve this issue nor is taking a pill to make the pain go away.
We have to look to our body, our mind, and our emotions for the answers and dig deep – with Pluto in Capricorn, this has to do with our relationship to power and status.
The direction toward authenticity, love, understanding is through honest conversations we have with ourselves and with one another. The unhelpful societal rules and unhelpful belief systems are dismantling whether you like it or not.
As always – be well.
