Full Moon in Aries- Authenticity

The Cosmic Salon

As the new Moon in Virgo two weeks back was communing with the Sun, charging itself up for this week’s Full Moon, we wanted to make sure we didn’t take action too soon because there were still minor details to iron out.

No pressure, right?   Haha –

The Full Moon in Aries is opposite Sun in Libra and opposition is always a time for balance.  What do we need to balance?

Aries is an individual that springs into action without needing the other to do so.  Aries is self-reliant and self-interested, bold, and willing to venture where no one else has ventured before.  Aries unconscious can attack first and ask questions later, aggressive and hot-headed.

Sun, Mercury and Jupiter are in Libra.  Libra represents love, peace, beauty, harmony, balance, caring for others.  When Libra is unconscious can think more of the other than of oneself (co-dependent anyone?) and especially when…

Jupiter into Scorpio

Jupiter has officially moved into the sign of Scorpio.    We are plunging into the depths of our unconscious for super amazing transformation.  Scorpio demands it and we can’t escape it.  It’s intense and it is needed.  Jupiter here will expand our consciousness and increase our awareness as we begin to dismantle our unhelpful belief systems and power structures.  We are seeing in the media that abuse of power will no longer be tolerated.   Secrets will emerge in some area of our personal lives and in the process, we will begin to heal our hearts.

Scorpio has a dark side — manipulation, self-destructiveness, hidden agendas, criminal tendencies, sexual violations, and fears — deep psychological fears that hold us back from becoming successful.   Scorpio demands that you be brutally honest with yourself.  What is truly holding you back?  What are you resisting or not facing?

As you ride on Jupiter’s wings of wisdom, it’s a reminder that as you dive deep you can still take the high road.

Full Moon in Aries- Authenticity

When Libra is unconscious can think more of the other than of oneself (co-dependent anyone?) and especially when wanting to maintain peace and avoid conflict will override their own needs.  Libra is a super-hero of avoiding conflict at all costs.

We learn to balance our self-interest with caring for others; our anger with love and peace.  We can be angry and still be peaceful.  We can have conflict and be loving.  We can think of our own needs and respect others needs at the same time.

What’s interesting here is that Mars rules Aries (where the Moon is now) and Venus rules Libra (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter).  Venus and Mars in Virgo will be conjunct one another or are conjunct now calling for us to merge our actions with our values.

Uranus is in Aries opposite Jupiter – I mean, when will the chaos end?  Uranus in Aries is the radical individual who unexpectedly breaks the laws and creates chaos in his/her wake.  Jupiter in Libra is about Justice – and also taking the easy way out.   Do we want peace at any cost?  Or are we willing to sit down and really consider the circumstances.  For example, are stricter gun laws really going to keep radicalized individuals from breaking laws and creating chaos?

To add to the stress we have Pluto square the Sun, Mercury and Moon.  Pluto won’t let Jupiter take the easy way out.  Pluto represents the underworld, our unconscious and what lurks in our unconscious that needs to come to light.  Pluto says, ‘you think you worked this one out, but you haven’t’.  For issues to dissolve we have to work on them; we have to heal them from within.  Pluto will only accept the truth.  If we resist or Deny that truth, it makes the healing more painful.  Pluto is calling for transformation – taking a walk on the beach is not going to resolve this issue nor is taking a pill to make the pain go away.

We have to look to our body, our mind, and our emotions for the answers and dig deep – with Pluto in Capricorn, this has to do with our relationship to power and status.

The direction toward authenticity, love, understanding is through honest conversations we have with ourselves and with one another.  The unhelpful societal rules and unhelpful belief systems are dismantling whether you like it or not.

As always – be well.

New Moon in Virgo – Move forward and don’t move

We have another new moon, guys! What a relief after the messy Full Moon in Pisces. Sort of.
Just when you thought you had all the information you needed to move full-steam ahead — DON’T.  Not yet.

The Full Moon in Pisces brought us a hurricane and a mass exodus out of Florida.  Pisces does this to us — bringing our fears to the surface and we run.  Not that you shouldn’t run when you are in danger — with Virgo in the forefront we have been flooded with information and we now think we have the Glorious answers and we know what to do.

Ask yourself, what in your life were you fleeing from and fleeing toward?  Answering this question will help you see what it is you are seeking with this new moon.

A new Moon is always conjunct the Sun.  The new Moon is dark and using the Sun as a source of energy to charge up.  We are taking in the information we have received and separating what’s useful from what is not useful.  This is Virgo’s task as ruled by Mercury and in a mutable sign.  We use discernment before we take action at the full Moon (not before).

We have a T-Square with Moon and Sun in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces conjunct the Mid-Heaven and these three planets square Saturn in Sagittarius.  We know we have a problem and we aren’t quite sure how to proceed — but wait — we do know.  No, wait.  Maybe not.  With the mutable T-Square we think we know what decision to make and then we change our mind again.
It’s Chiron’s fault, really.  We have an emotional wound that’s getting in the way of our decision.  Isn’t it true when our emotions get in the way we tend to make irrational decisions?  The information we’ve received is fogged up (Pisces) by our emotional outlook. –

The point of focus is Saturn in Sagittarius. Saturn is foundation, structure, caution, timing.   These wounded emotions cause us to feel like the structure of our lives is falling apart and we should take fast action to repair it.  Okay, so we don’t have pat answers yet, but we do know what the issue is (that emotional wound being triggered).

Let’s look at the Grand Trine Saturn makes with Uranus in Aries and North Node in Leo.
We’ve got some new energy potential that is causing us a lot of excitement and we want to take action and go for it.  We are certain it is a sure thing.

We still have some healing to do — so take your time over the next two weeks before you decide what you want to do with the information you’ve received.  Use discernment, talk it out.  You’ll be glad you did.

The Full Moon will be in Aries in two weeks and you will be able to make progress at that point.  The cool thing is that when you wait for clarity — you find the gold you seek.

Full Moon in Pisces – Be Still and Know

The culmination of what you began or what started for you at the New Moon Solar eclipse will illuminate itself during this Pisces Full Moon.  Remember, with the Full Moon, we always have an opposition with the Sun. So, there is an opposition taking place between our past and our future, our inner wants and needs with our goals and purpose. It’s that tipping point where we move forward or we hold ourselves back.

When we have the opportunity to move forward,  we are faced with old patterns holding us back.  If we take the time to reframe or resolve these old patterns, we can move forward.  The planetary energy is calling for us to do this with the Pisces Moon and the Pluto in Capricorn sextile.
The Pisces Moon suggests it is a good time to go within and listen to your intuition. Meditate, submerge yourself in water (a pool, a bath, lake, ocean), listen to music, play music.  The point is to disengage the thinking mind which can be a challenge with the Sun in Virgo (Mercury rules Virgo). We want to see what rises to the surface naturally so we know what it is we need to adjust during this opposition of Moon and Sun.

Moon will be conjunct Neptune and Neptune rules dreamy Pisces. This adds to our emotional and intuitive sensitivity that could fuel a fantasy we would like to manifest or believe.  Pisces is also about belief — what will you believe?  Your intuition or a deluded fantasy?  Neptune is retrograde.  So, wait.

Mercury has turned direct and we are still in its shadow as we retrace the steps we just went through. So, wait. Be still.

Pisces is also about compassion and let’s talk a bit about that.

Years ago when I was doing a healing session on a colleague of mine, the topic of compassion came up in the healing. He said, ‘I’m tired of hearing other people say
I should be compassionate. It’s like a buzz word that people are using and they don’t really know what it means or how to use it’.     I found some truth in what he said.  I have witnessed others, out of polite social behavior, be nice to those they deem in unfortunate circumstances or pain and call that compassion.  Could that be false acceptance?  Could that be empowering a victim to depend on your kindness rather than empower a victim to pull themselves up out of their circumstances into self-power?
This is the bullshit he was talking about. That is NOT compassion.
Compassion derives from a deep understanding of another person’s suffering or problems. We get it.   We are in touch with all the ways in which we suffer and we know how difficult it can be to disengage when our beliefs about our circumstances are so strong.

Sun in Virgo is about health, hygiene, discrimination, discernment, perfectionism — nagging, daily routines.  Could there be a really fussy side of us (or someone we know) that demands perfection?  Who is highly critical of your spiritual side or your intuition? Is there a part of yourself that doesn’t trust your intuition?  Or you get so caught up in being perfect that you can’t deal with those deeper feelings and binge on ice cream or pizza or drugs or alcohol?  In addition, with Virgo being so meticulous and critical, we could spend most of the day cleaning, running errands, exercising and falling flat on our faces in exhaustion — or we could spend our time addicted to one thing or another or losing ourselves in the spiritual world and losing our grounding.

The adjustment is about creating balance between our daily routine and our spiritual life.  We balance out our need for perfection and busyness with our messy emotions and/or our spiritual practice.

If Moon conjunct Neptune is taking you away on a wild fantasy or paranoid delusion, or emotional mess or an invitation to something that sounds too good to be true — don’t criticize it, don’t ignore it, don’t overeat or over medicate.   Be still and use the discrimination of the Virgo Sun to discern the vibes.  Eat healthy, exercise.

Moon is quincunx Venus — so take a look at where you might be involved with someone — a female friend, co-worker, or your mother – in which there is an imbalance in what is healthy nurturing vs enmeshment or unhealthy boundaries.

The Full Moon sextile Pluto provides harmony between our intuition (Moon in Pisces) and our investigave powers (Pluto in Capricorn). Capricorn lends structure and
practicality to Pisces boundary-less state. We can uncover some deeply suppressed emotions, pull out the rotten roots, and really begin to heal ourselves or a relationship
that has gone asunder.
We still have the trine with Uranus in Aries and Saturn in Sag.  We add Mercury in Leo for a grand trine — but soon Mercury will move on to Virgo.   This is a perfect opportunity to revolutionize the structure of our lives to see the big picture.  We might even find the courage to try new things and experiment so we can evolve our mind and our lives.

Let’s do a recap:  Be still and listen to your intuition.  Allow your suppressed emotions to arise and care for yourself in healthy ways.  Set healthy boundaries, be clear about what you want — it’s amazing how just being still and present is a revolutionary action in itself.

Until next time —

Are you tired of the noise?

Hello and blessings to all of you.  Are you suffering from noise-itis? (inflammation of noise).

NOISE is a part of our everyday life from the moment our alarm wakes us up in the morning to the water that gushes out of the shower head, and to our feet gently touching the floor beneath us.

Too-much-noise

There is traffic, music, other people talking, appliance noise, your fingers hitting the keys
on your keypad, the phone ringing — the loud voice of your spouse — you get it.

Noise is everywhere.

How does noise affect you?  Some of us become irritated by noise and some of us
become overwhelmed.

You might have heard or read that your feelings of overwhelm, irritation, energy drain and the resulting isolation are due to a psychically sensitive nature.
You might have heard or felt that you are like a ‘sponge’ that soaks up all the energetic clutter around you.

Once you find a label to your problem you begin to identify with that label.  You place yourself into a box — ‘I can’t go there or do that because I’m too psychically sensitive, I’m a sponge, I’m an empath’  so that who you are is now a crutch and you play victim to your world.

These labels separate us from our truth and we begin to live a limited existence.
It is difficult to evolve when we are stuck in a box.

What is really going on here?

Inner noise.  That’s right.  You are suffering from too much inner noise.  It is time to reduce that inner noise.

If you are suffering from trauma-related diagnosis PTSD or acute stress, I recommend you seek out a counselor, psychologist, or social worker who is knowledgeable about trauma-related issues.

I offer a few suggestions to get you started if you haven’t the funds to seek out a counselor.
First thing you want to do is GROUND yourself by creating a safe place.

1. Deep breathing — if you have symptoms of PTSD your fight or flight system is in overdrive. Deep breathing for about 10 minutes will relax your body
and give a signal to your system to relax.
2. Self-soothe — curl up in bed with a good book, do yin yoga, get a massage, take a hot bath, drink tea, spend time with supportive friends… gently mother yourself.

Okay, now, if you don’t have symptom of trauma and you’re still an ’empath’ and, if you want to continue to mow the noise right out of your mind — here is what to do.

1. Clear the noise in your head — meditation, spending time in nature, attention
2. Build up your subtle energy body — yoga, exercise, right eating for your body —  your subtle energy body are the layers of energy around your body starting with the etheric body.  These layers become weak with poor eating habits, emotional issues, etc.
3. See a doctor — to ensure all systems are operating well (thyroid, hormones, etc) — when our hormones are out of whack, we are out of whack. We can be irritated
depressed, brain fog, gain weight, etc.

4. Energy Clearing – it is helpful to release all the energy you take in from the day by doing your favorite energy clearing protocols.  Here is one I like: picture a grounding chord from the bottom of your tail bone through the center of the earth.  Imagine all the energy that is not yours to drain down this grounding chord.  The earth below will take care of the energy.  Give permission for that energy to flow out.  Also, deep breathing and yoga is a way to clear your energy and even a walk in nature or walking barefoot on the earth.

5. Energy protection:  I am on the fence when it comes to energy protection.  The best protection is authenticity — however, sometimes, we just need a raincoat (if you know what I mean) — so here is a pretty good protective visualization taught to me years ago. Do this before you leave your house or when you know you will be dealing with ‘too much exterior energetic noise’ :

  • Imagine a gold band of light circling your entire body from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head.
  • Imagine rings of light circling your body from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head.  Picture these lights as large as your aura about 10 ft.  Imagine millions of them surrounding your body.
  • Ask your spirit guides and guardians to surround your body like a protective cloak.

It will take daily commitment and time for change and conscious evolution to occur.  Do not give up!  NO matter what!  If you are confronted with lack of energy or enthusiasm use that to pick yourself up and do your practice, regardless.

The way to begin is to choose one activity (deep breathing, meditation, walking in nature, yoga, exercise) and do that one activity at least 15 minutes everyday.  You can increase that time by 5 minutes each week.

Once you realize that noise is totally under your control, you will be feeling a pervading sense of peace.

Be Well! sunmandala

Love More – New Moon Solar Eclipse

As the weekend approached, I felt excited to write a new Moon Solar eclipse blog for all of you.  I erected the chart and took notes.  I closed my eyes and meditated.  I wrote a few paragraphs and then – nothing.   My fingers refused to move.

Do I really need to write another solar eclipse astrology blog?  Everyone and their mother has written or vlogged.

Here’s the thing – the consensus is that we are moving away from the Trance of our past and toward opening our hearts more. Our past is getting in the way of seeing the present clearly.  Tradition, religion, patriarchy, and our need to follow someone else’s authority is about to break.  Slowly.

When we open our hearts more, our intuition opens up and we can surrender our ego from reacting.  We don’t need to give up or eradicate our ego — just surrender to it.

So, what do I recommend?  Know yourself.  Love yourself.  Choose the side of love when making decisions.  We are facing very deep triggers to our very security.  These deep triggers are very much needed – change is calling out to us.

Be the change you want to see.
