Be YOU — Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo

I apologize for missing the New Moon post – I was stricken with the flu.  I was in bed for many days and all I could do was sleep.  I did not feel like doing any mental work — I feel like this intense four day fever killed some toxins — hopefully not brain cells!   Now, I have  a lingering cough – and thinking about the upcoming Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo – February 10th – just in a few hours!

I couldn’t miss telling you all about this Full Moon.

This is an awe-mazing configuration we have right now – we have a mystic rectangle, a grand cross and grand fire trine, a yod and a t-square – I don’t think I left anything out!

We have some challenges, some magic and perhaps a miracle or two in the works —

What is a full Moon Lunar eclipse?   The earth is traveling between the Moon and Sun and the light from the Sun is blocked by the earth.  The earth creates a shadow on the moon.  The light from the Aquarius Sun can’t reach the Leo Moon – What this means is that the shadow elements of Leo are being highlighted.

What are Leo’s shadow elements?  Self-centeredness, narcissism, dictatorship – these elements are being exposed so we can heal the way we are approaching self-expression.  Leo is all about creative self-expression and can get side-tracked when it is too self-consuming.   Aquarius is about the collective mindset vs Leo’s version of the self – one is focused on what’s good for humanity and the other is focused on what’s good for the self – and we are all moving towards individuality that Leo demands – a more enlightened individuality that is aware of the collective needs.

The Sun’s light is just wanting to express itself and the polarity of the Aquarius Sun and Leo Moon is saying – shine – please shine but shine to inspire and motivate others to shine as well – everyone has a light to shine.

Where are you dictating and demanding of others?  What is it your heart is longing to express?  Where can you be more authentic?

It looks like this Fire trine is calling for revolution – an inner revolution – Uranus in Aries radical revolution, Moon in Leo—authentic self-expression – Saturn in Sagittarius – restructuring truths –

It is, truly, an inner revolution toward greater authentic self-expression in which we boldly tell the truth to ourselves about how we have been behaving.  This is not an invite to Criticize yourself — it’s an invite to be more loving to self and others — you can do it!

Jupiter in Libra is all about how we are relating to others in a big way – helps us to find a more harmonious and non-violent way to tell others what we think.

Wherever Leo/Aquarius is in your chart is where you will be called to be more authentically self-expressed – and go through a radical transformation – it is so cool that the planetary configuration is aligned in this way – so BE YOU, BOLDLY YOU!

The Solar Eclipse in Pisces is just two weeks away – the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new cycle – continues to assist us in the progress we are making –

Full Moon in Cancer — Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Full Moon Shine in Cancer – 22 degrees –6:33AM

Get Ready for Ch-ch-ch-changes – they are coming.  Exciting times are ahead of us!

This upcoming full Moon in Cancer will be making a Grand Cardinal Cross in the sky – with opposition of Sun/Pluto in Capricorn, Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries.  A grand cross happens in the sky when four planets square one another – 90 degree angles.  These four planets are also in opposition to another planet – 180 degree angle.  This type of configuration creates tension and challenge.  The opposition lends an either/or scenario – something is separated and opposed.  Cardinal means – ACTION!  During this Mercury retrograde, we have had plenty of time to reflect and now we can take action to resolve the tension.  Changes are afoot with this configuration and unexpected change at that.

The moon is at home in Cancer – and with the backdrop of the constellation Gemini – differing opinions (been going on in the world for quite some time) these opposing opinions could turn into arguments – when your security is threatened, what do you do? Do you react in a way that causes a shit storm – or do you have good mediation skills?  We could use our skills of reflection and mindfulness (you’ve been practicing, right?) – we know what we feel, we know how to cope and consciously we can intend to take the right action.

Now, with this grand cardinal square we have some helpers to make the emotional tension bearable  – we’ve got Neptune conjunct Venus which is a wonderful aspect for romance and adventure – music, poetry – art – and idealism.  This aspect is making a biquintile with the Full Moon – so a talent for lifting our mood is to create, create, create – listen to your favorite music, write some poetry, go see a movie or to an art gallery.  Get thee to the art house now!

We have Mars trine the Moon and sextile Sun – Saturn sextile Jupiter and Saturn trine Uranus.

We can harmonize our actions with our emotions by bringing attention to our intentions.  Saturn sextile Jupiter puts the brakes on overdoing it – even though the Moon in Cancer will want comfort and security – we have to push ourselves past our comfort zone – Cancer is about emotional security.  Playing it safe keeps us stuck in past conditioning – Instead of writing this blog, I could sit on the sofa and eat bon bons and pizza all night while watching re-runs of Doctor Who (which isn’t that bad of an idea) – or I could do something more productive that pushes me out of my comfort zone – could it be vlogging instead of blogging?

We also have Saturn trine Uranus – so if we focus on grounding ourselves in our bodies – we can limit the amount of shock waves that run through us.  If you’ve ever practiced deep breathing or meditation – over time this practice makes conflict easier to deal with – and more present and grounded.

Try this loving kindness meditation during your full moon ritual.

New Moon in Capricorn

A Renewal: New Moon in Capricorn conjuncts Mercury retrograde, Uranus opposite Jupiter, Mars conjunct the South Node.

As Mercury is still in retrograde – at its midpoint- when you plant your new Moon seeds, let them simmer longer than you normally would– reflect more deeply about what you want to create for the long-term.  2017 is going to be a long ride and unusual ride.

Capricorn is an earth sign and earth is more receptive to the outer world.  Saturn, the lord of time, its ruler – this is a seed that needs to be planted deep in the earth and watered and cared for correctly – as you plan on building structure and foundation to those things you want to last.

This new Moon is asking us if there is anything we have done in the past that we would like to try again, this time with more refinement, more responsibility, less emotionality —  that benefits humanity in some way.  No tall order, here.  We can benefit humanity by being more mindful and cleaning up our side of the fence.

Uranus is still in opposition of Jupiter and Mar is conjunct the South Node and Neptune.  Are we going to hold on to the past and react in old conditioned ways?  We can move toward understanding what triggers us and find healthier coping skills to deal.  Perhaps, we all can benefit from an attitude change – whatever will burst –  the energy is calling for us to move toward that Virgo energy – discern, discriminate, analyze – and as Virgo is all about health – start finding new ways to live a healthier life.

I wish you all a safe and joyous New Year!

Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn/Sagittarius, Dec 19, 2016

Be in this world but not of it.  Perfect mantra for us in regard to the astrological sky – and for us co-dependents!

During a Mercury retrograde – mishaps in communications are likely.  Delays are likely with travel and communication devices.  Do not fear!

This is a time to sharpen up our communication skills.  A time to edit it out what doesn’t work with the story we want to live.  This will play out through the theme of Capricorn/Sagittarius and the houses these signs are in your chart.

Mercury is asking us to reflect and listen more – in many instances, when we communicate with others we place our own spin to what we hear – .  We don’t always say what we think.  We don’t always say what we mean.  We don’t listen to others because we are only listening to what we want to say next in response.  We are talking at one another but not with one another.

So, going within, listening, reflecting – is a good thing – on any day of the week. Going within assists you in promoting change from within outward.

Then, there is the force of your exterior world to change to match your desires.  If we look at the recent events in Aleppo, we see how physical force caused destruction of the structures of the city and the emotional quality of its inhabitants.  This force was executed by a faction of people who desired to snuff out the rebel forces.  Atrocities took place that are supposed to be prevented under international law – and destroyed a historical city and brought so much suffering to its citizens.

So, can you feel it?  Can you feel the tension in the air?  Something must burst to reset itself.  We can look at the astrological position to talk about this –  Mars will conjunct Neptune and the South Node in Pisces, Uranus in Aries opposite Jupiter in Libra, Pluto conjunct the Sun in Capricorn all on New Year’s Day – and I think within the week between Christmas and New Year’s there will be sparks of the angry kind exploding – wanting to explode in our personal lives and in the world at large.

Mars in Pisces conjunct the South Node means we are reverting to actions that are based on old conditioning – and Neptune in the mix has this covert energy about it – so we won’t really know what has hit us – and it is going to make a quincunx to Jupiter (ruler of Pisces) opposite Uranus – so whatever unexpectedly disrupts our fun will bring attention to coming together as a community.   Kind of like the 9-11 kind.  For those who don’t want to make conscious change – the hard shit happens to open our eyes.

The good thing is this trine with Saturn and Uranus.  What comes as a surprise and catches us off guard is something we will be ready to deal with.

Mercury retrograde will pass over the area we just experienced over the last three weeks so we re-experience that same theme.  When it goes direct, it will pass over that area again.  We get to edit and re-edit, revisit and redo – yeah, it’s like we are rewriting a script.

This particular retrograde has already shown me the plot, setting, players and possible results that will be affecting my life – so I’m ever so watchful.

Capricorn falls in my 6th house of routine, work, health and service and Sagittarius, 5th house – what I love to do, my performance, creativity.

My sleep routine has been interrupted by some noisy neighbors who have illegally rented from the tenant and I’ve had maybe 12 hours sleep over the last 3 days.  This contributes to a rather bitchy, Moody gal.  No one wants to piss off a Leo with Leo rising and Moon in Capricorn.  That’s like – not good.  The rigid General appears with strategic battle – to win at all costs!  Mars in Libra tries to sweep all the bullshit and bad feelings under the rug for peace and harmony – and the angry ember is still burning within especially when the pact is broken.  Then all hell breaks loose!

Or not.

My attention is being grabbed with these unexpected twists and turns (Uranus – unexpected, excitement) square Mercury retro as it stations backward – and Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn and ruler of time – is kinda placing a huge red STOP sign in front of me.  Capricorn is the material world, Mercury is the world of the mind – and Sag is ruler of philosophy, truth, and beliefs – so it’s time to disconnect from the material world and the world of the mind to enter into this meditative space to observe and review.

When shit hits the fan, do you try to clean it up?  That’s what I’m doing.  I’m getting involved in other people’s shit and trying to clean up the mess – I’m all up in other people’s shit.

When something happens, we are ‘triggered’ to respond – we have physical sensations that are the result of our emotions.  These emotions ‘trigger’ these thoughts that are a part of our world view – and then we do something about it to relieve the tension.  Or we run from it.  Or we blame others.

Let’s put all that aside (I’m going to), in favor of observing our inner world without doing anything to change it – that brings us into a state of mindfulness – Mercury’s highest evolution is mindfulness.  When we enter into a state of mindfulness we suddenly realize there is nothing to do.  Not yet.  In time, we realize what we do – and that ‘what we do’ if we are to come from a 5D reality — stems from a 5D perspective and not from the physical sensation of emotional intensity reacting.

The 6th house is also work and with Mercury about to go retrograde – I should pay close attention to how I communicate at work and with co-workers – maybe some old clients will return – maybe run into previous co-workers.  I’ve run into two previous co-workers unexpectedly in places I unexpectedly and rarely visit who also had, at the last minute, decide to venture into new territory.

No big deal, you might say. It doesn’t mean a thing.  And yes, it is no big deal.  It doesn’t mean anything except the meaning you give it.  We wouldn’t grow or evolve if we didn’t apply a meaning to something and then investigate this meaning on a deeper level to evoke some inner change.

Remember: As above; so below.

So, allow the machinations of disruption, interference, and possible chaos happen so you aren’t a pawn in the karmic game.

Life is an inner journey.  The outer journey is the experience that you use to understand, learn and grow as a human being.  Or not.  Be an observer of your inner and outer reality – be in this world but not of this world —

Get off the weird mystical tracks that try to make this out to be a magical thinking mystery ride.

Switch the power track from outer to inner – and start the REVOLUTION from within.

The power has always and will always be within you.

Let’s Talk – Gemini Full Moon

Gemini Full Moon at 7:05 PM EST – 4:05PM PST

In this age, which believes that there is a shortcut to everyone, the greatest lesson to be learned is that the most difficult way is, in the long run, the easiest.  Henry Miller

For some people, glossing over the truth is the easiest way to avoid potential conflict and have other people approve of us.  In some instances, avoiding communication altogether is a way to escape conflict that ‘might’ arise out of telling our truth.

Gemini is not known for emotional depth; it’s known for facts and information and communicating that information to others.  Gemini is known for its witty and clever quality – not necessarily concerned with the truth (that’s Sagitarrius’ domain).  This Full Moon in Gemini is not one of those moons.

The Full Moon illuminates Gemini so it brings to light information or facts that we previously weren’t aware of, perhaps even hidden from us.   The Full Moon is opposing Saturn in Sagittarius so there are some serious conversations we must have.

Let’s talk.

These two words, for some reason, sum up a lot of fear. We can’t have fun all the time.   Sometimes, we have to have those very difficult conversations with people about where we are coming from.  Conversations we don’t want to have because we are afraid of what others will think, afraid someone will leave us, afraid we will lose our job – afraid we will look like a weirdo – this is the time to put on your big girl pants.

In the Eastern time zone, the moon is moving through the 12th house of endings and karma – so we see here the culmination of our actions.  When we understand how our actions resulted in our circumstances, we can then let go, move on, transform our lives.

This is going to be easy to deal with because we have the full moon making a grand trine in air signs – so lots of talk (not the Mystical kind, yet).  By the next new Moon we know what it is we want to do differently.

Moon trine Jupiter in Libra and Mars in Aquarius – so these sobering talks we have will be about harmony, peace, social justice – and Uranus in Aries will add an unexpected spark to the mix as it sextiles the moon and trines the sun and Saturn – I think some really good things will come out of what we talk about.

You’ll be glad you did.

Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn is going to affect this Full Moon – stay tuned for more —

Before you cross the street, look both ways

howler-monkey-calakmul-mexico

The Howling Monkey’s throat inflates when they are defending their territory as well as when they are mating.  Their sounds can escalate to ear piercing shrills.

We humans do something similar (throat excluded) when we’re trying to impress someone or when we’re angry.

Can we tell the difference between the two?

Mars in Aquarius and Jupiter in Libra are pushing their ideas of social justice and acting upon it in, quite possibly, peaceful protests.  In air signs we are talking about communication and ideas –

Will we be able to tell the difference between ‘pushing’ one’s ideas out into the world and arguing one’s views?  Think of the difference between an annoying sales person and a hockey player in a heated discussion with the referee – or the difference between the Howling monkey’s shrill vocal antics – mating or defending territory?  Have we learned and understood (Jupiter) how our actions (Mars) create our reality (Saturn)?

Saturn is a player here restricting some of the fun we thought we could have had -if only ‘things’ weren’t so f’d up.  Things won’t get too out of hand —

Sun and Neptune squaring one another – could we be having an existential crisis?  Has our self-esteem taken a bit of a blow?  Or are we jetting off to Hawaii to escape the possible US collapse?  And forgetting that Hawaii is a part of the US?

We may not have all the facts just yet – and it’s okay to say ‘I don’t know’.  Or we can make shit up just to save face.

The Moon traveling through Capricorn is adding a bit of hard work and helps us put our feet on the soil and reality.  Our reality is really about getting the work done so we can enjoy the weekend.

The North Node is steadily pointing in the direction of Virgo – same message at the New Moon — gather your information.  Analyze.  Discern between fact and fiction.  Do some yoga!  Drink a smoothie.  Be critical in a constructive way. Rumination is a sign that your body is doing its due diligence to keep you safe from predators — so instead of ruminate — meditate.

Remember when you were given the rules of how to cross the street?

Stop.  Look both ways. When the coast is clear — Walk.

Maintain awareness –

In other words (and I know you get this — )  Don’t make decisions before you have the facts and your mind is clear.

Let the Echo of this pronouncement become your mantra.

New Moon in Sagittarius

As you begin to realize that every different type of music, everybody’s individual music, has its own rhythm, life, language and heritage, you realize how life changes and you learn how to be more open and adaptive to what is around us.   Yo-Yo Ma

The New Moon in Sagittarius (our beliefs) is conjunct the Sun (soul purpose) rising at the horizon projecting our beliefs into the world.   We want everyone to know what we think about (fill in the blank — ).  Jupiter rules Sagittarius – there is an opportunity to expand our beliefs, our philosophy of life and, with an open mind, listen to what others have to say.  Our beliefs are only one-sided when we don’t include another perspective or at least attempt to understand the other side.  We don’t have to agree with anyone to maintain our beliefs – we can stand in our own truth and respect the other side.

Moon is squaring North node in Virgo in the 9th house (ruler of Jupiter and Sagittarius) and South Node in Pisces 3rd house, conjunct Neptune.  This understanding other people’s perspectives will be challenging.  The South Node represents the past, our poor coping skills and Pisces represents illusions.

The North Node is where we are headed and the North Node is in Mercury-ruled Virgo – questioning our beliefs – using discrimination and analysis to sort the bullshit out from the truth.  This is going to be challenging for us to do yet if we want to be the change we wish to see out in the world.  Be open to and flexible to change.

Your thoughts are a like a light switch that affect how you feel.  You have complete control over your inner world. When you change your thoughts, you change your inner world – and therefore, your perceptions of the world shift.
