Own your life – New Moon in Sagittarius

The New Moon, as every new Moon, is conjunct the Sun.  This means that the Moon is sitting right next to the Sun and receives a power boost.  The New Moon is a good time to seed a new intention, usually in alignment with the current placement of the Moon.  This month, we have the New Moon in Sagittarius.

Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign so it is up for adventure, open to new beliefs and perceptions, and ready and willing to learn.  Sagittarius is a Centaur; half-horse, half-human.  The Centaur embodies the power and animalistic nature of the horse with the heart and mind of a human being.  This means that we lead ourselves in a conscious direction and have the ability to set our goals and to use the power and desire to propel us to our destination.  We do this by allowing the archer’s arrow point us in new directions that strengthen our positive sense of self – that give us more confidence and optimism to move toward our desired goals.    We have the opportunity to realize our dreams this New Moon – so don’t be afraid to move towards those long-held dreams.

So, how do we hold true to our values and authentic sense of self at the same time as being open to change?  Well, Sag is not asking us to drop it all for change to occur – sag is asking us to be open to alternatives and expand our sense of self.  Maybe we’ve held some values that were rigid and kept us in tunnel vision, maybe these rigid values really were assumptions and rules about who we are and who others are and this did not serve anyone.

Conjunct Sun, Venus, Saturn, galactic center –

The galactic center is the black hole in the center of the Milky Way, Sagitarrius A*.  You can read more about it here.  Every galaxy has a black hole sometimes active, and sometimes not.  The black hole is said to (by astrologers) to be the point of a galaxy’s birth – it’s the womb whence we came.  Astrologers are commenting that the alignment of the New Moon, Sun, Saturn and Venus with the galactic center is where we can receive downloads of information and release of old Karma (Saturn) that will transform our lives.  It’s about time, eh?

Saturn is time, karma, structure, limitation, mastery; Venus is love, what we value, beauty; Sun is our purpose, the light that shines within.    When our values are aligned with our purpose, we move closer toward self-mastery.   Saturn is having its long goodbye in Sag right now as it moves happily into Capricorn on December 19th.  Saturn really put a damper on all our fun and now that we’ve learned our Saturn in Sag lessons, we can breath a bit deeper now.  Saturn rules Capricorn.  We will need place effort and work toward this area of our life — or face the consequences.  So, if Saturn is moving through your 6th house of health and routine, it would be a good idea to start a healthy diet and exercise plan (you probably already have been thinking about it).  A daily routine would be helpful — Saturn will assist you in getting it right.  You can do it!

Trine Uranus in Aries – we may not have thought we were ready and yet we are unexpectedly propelled and excited to start moving toward our dreams.  This could be from an unexpected surge of confidence or invitation that we never expected.

Square Chiron in Pisces – The challenge we face is to let go of our wounds, our maladaptive thinking, so we can exercise our free will and align with our true self.  Just because you failed before or someone talked you out of following your dreams doesn’t mean you have to buy into it.  Remember, a failure is only a learning lesson in disguise.  You pick yourself up and start again using the new knowledge you’ve gained.

Mars and Jupiter in Scorpio – Mars is the ruler of Aries and Scorpio.  When Mars rules Scorpio, we have an inner warrior ready to surgically remove that which impedes our authentic nature.  Jupiter expands the goodness as we are able to remove our maladaptive thinking, go deeper, find our gifts and move toward our goals.

To sum it up:  We have the opportunity to make strident changes in our lives by following our long-held dreams.  As we come up against our negative thoughts, negative memories, past failures, we make the effort toward being more optimistic that the past does not need to repeat itself (not if we make conscious change to be more present and authentic with ourselves and others).  We are getting a karmic reset and downloading new info on a cellular level.  No, it’s not a sci-fi movie you are in – it’s your life.  Own it!

New Moon in Scorpio — You Know

I’m a little bit late with the new Moon post — was having some computer issues that are now fixed.

The new Moon is a time to plant seeds, start something new, or a fresh start on
an old project. A new Moon is also a good time to release or banish unwanted
habits or emotional blockages that you have noticed get in the way of what
you want to create. Yes, you can do that at the Full Moon, too — the dark of the
New Moon is a perfect time to absorb that which you want to rid yourself of so you
have more room to start whatever you want to start. Then you can draw to you
want you want to attract.  You knew that anyway, didn’t you?

This new Moon is in Scorpio. A fixed water sign, Scorpio calls out to us from
the depths of our being to be brutally honest about who we are and what we want.
Scorpio will help us clear out the toxins — a perfect time to do a shamanic soul
retrieval.

The Sun in Scorpio provides the strength to highlight those areas we have overlooked — it’s like shining a magnifying glass on a splinter.  You see it.  You got it.  You can extract it.  No problem.

Now, the interesting thing with this New Moon is the only major aspect is
with Uranus in Aries .  Uranus is electricity, eccentricity, unexpected, surprise
and excitement — in Aries.  Aries is not a guy who is patient.  He wants to take action pronto!

Uranus is quincunx the Moon.  This is a difficult aspect where an adjustment needs to be made between the Moon and Uranus.  The Moon and Uranus communicate well on their own but not so much together .   We could receive amazing and unexpected insights about the direction of our lives or certain thought patterns that have been blocking us.  We just see them like we hadn’t before and we just want to take action on those
insights.  I encourage you to wait. Yeah, I say that a lot, don’t I?

Let’s say you have this insight that you should quit your job and become an actress — what you’ve always wanted to do or you decide it’s time to leave your significant other or sell your house, or go on a fad diet to lose 20 pounds in 1 week.   I encourage you to do your research first.  Be practical.

Chiron is in Pisces making a trine aspect to the Moon. Chiron is the wounded healer.  It is with Chiron’s help that we can heal our wounds.  In this new Moon position it is healing deep emotional wounds that have blocked us from moving forward.

Jupiter aligned with Venus helps us to expand our values, and grow from these insights and deep healing.

Mars in Libra is in it’s opposite sign of Aries — Mars in Aries is the warrior
who takes action and thinks only of himself. Mars in Libra always thinks about the other before taking action.  This is what makes Mars in Libra the diplomat or the pleaser, the lover and not the fighter.  Use the energy of Mars to discuss your insights with others
before you take action.

Well, that’s it folks. If you celebrate Thanksgiving — have a good one!

New Moon in Virgo – Move forward and don’t move

We have another new moon, guys! What a relief after the messy Full Moon in Pisces. Sort of.
Just when you thought you had all the information you needed to move full-steam ahead — DON’T.  Not yet.

The Full Moon in Pisces brought us a hurricane and a mass exodus out of Florida.  Pisces does this to us — bringing our fears to the surface and we run.  Not that you shouldn’t run when you are in danger — with Virgo in the forefront we have been flooded with information and we now think we have the Glorious answers and we know what to do.

Ask yourself, what in your life were you fleeing from and fleeing toward?  Answering this question will help you see what it is you are seeking with this new moon.

A new Moon is always conjunct the Sun.  The new Moon is dark and using the Sun as a source of energy to charge up.  We are taking in the information we have received and separating what’s useful from what is not useful.  This is Virgo’s task as ruled by Mercury and in a mutable sign.  We use discernment before we take action at the full Moon (not before).

We have a T-Square with Moon and Sun in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces conjunct the Mid-Heaven and these three planets square Saturn in Sagittarius.  We know we have a problem and we aren’t quite sure how to proceed — but wait — we do know.  No, wait.  Maybe not.  With the mutable T-Square we think we know what decision to make and then we change our mind again.
It’s Chiron’s fault, really.  We have an emotional wound that’s getting in the way of our decision.  Isn’t it true when our emotions get in the way we tend to make irrational decisions?  The information we’ve received is fogged up (Pisces) by our emotional outlook. –

The point of focus is Saturn in Sagittarius. Saturn is foundation, structure, caution, timing.   These wounded emotions cause us to feel like the structure of our lives is falling apart and we should take fast action to repair it.  Okay, so we don’t have pat answers yet, but we do know what the issue is (that emotional wound being triggered).

Let’s look at the Grand Trine Saturn makes with Uranus in Aries and North Node in Leo.
We’ve got some new energy potential that is causing us a lot of excitement and we want to take action and go for it.  We are certain it is a sure thing.

We still have some healing to do — so take your time over the next two weeks before you decide what you want to do with the information you’ve received.  Use discernment, talk it out.  You’ll be glad you did.

The Full Moon will be in Aries in two weeks and you will be able to make progress at that point.  The cool thing is that when you wait for clarity — you find the gold you seek.

New Moon in Leo — Waking up to our authentic selves

The new Moon is conjunct the Sun and Mars at the beginning degrees of Leo.  These three planets square Uranus in Aries challenging us to really be our authentic self.  The Moon is our instinctual nature, our habits, patterns, emotional life, our past and the Sun is our soul, our authentic self.  Our past and future collide in a union of past and future our personality and soul merge in the sign of individualistic and self-expressed Leo.  The Sun rules Leo and Cancer rules the Moon.  When they come together in new Moon fashion, there is a growth spurt; a conscious evolution waiting to take place.  Leo is a fixed sign and prefers to do it their own way and mainly because they can.  The action-oriented energy of Cancer has consolidated its energy when it lands in Leo so it knows how to love, to create, to express (if Leo could get out of its own way and realize that it takes two to tango, not just one.  That’s right.  It’s not all about you, is it?)

The added energy of Mars gives us courage, drive, energy, bravery to be fearless and push what lies Dormant out into the light of day.  Mars can be a warrior pushing the energy forward and can become impatient, irritated, heated when life is moving too slowly.  If we channel the energy of Mars from its higher perspective, the action we take this new Moon, will be the courage to express our authentic selves, and to love ourselves and others more.  The universal transit is begging us to choose love as we venture out into the world.  We may find that doing so is easy and we can surprise ourselves with the lessons we have learned about ourselves over the last month.

Uranus square this stellium in Leo can shake us up a bit – some unexpected surprise can create some friction on our ride through conscious growth and personal evolution.  Uranus is making a grand trine with Mercury in Leo and Saturn in Sagittarius.  Our thoughts and ideas are more innovative and unusual, perhaps surprising insights that can be responsibly manifested in our lives.

Chiron is making a challenging aspect to the new Moon asking us if we want to continue to do what makes us unhappy and in pain or if we are going to take those first bold steps into empowered happiness.  What we focus on becomes a practice and grows stronger with each moment.  We can focus on the pain and let that experience of pain be the life we live or we can focus on what makes us happy and let more light and joy into our hearts.

What bold new expression do you wish to manifest over the next month?  Do you have the courage to step into a new you?  Will you focus on all the pain in your life or all the joy?  Take your life and live it.  It’s the only one you got this go around.

New Moon in Aries – March 27th

We have a new Moon in Aries and this energy embodies the courage to start something new.  There is a tremendous amount of growth potential in this springtime energy.  The emphasis on moving forward and making something happen is related to the Mars energy — as Mars rules Aries.

Aries has dynamic energy that has a momentum towards more freedom and independence and therefore, more focused on the self. Aries rules the head, acts first and asks questions later.

Mars in Taurus is saying ‘slow and steady wins the race’.  Taurus is a fixed earth sign.  Earth is slow and steady and more receptive and reflective.  Aries cardinal fire energy is fast and dynamic.  Mars is calling out to the new Moon to  consolidate this dynamic energy to build something that will last.  If we want it to last we can’t squander the energy.

Mars is in a sextile with Neptune in Pisces.  We are blending the spiritual (Pisces) with the physical (Taurus) – we first listen to our intuition or our connection to our higher self, god, the divine, whatever you want to call it,  before we take action to manifest it on the physical plane.

With Mars in trine to Pluto in Capricorn, another feminine earth sign, we have the support to make our plans manifest on the physical plane.

As the New Moon always conjuncts the Sun, what we cultivate should help us grow in self-confidence and support our life goals.

Mercury is also in Aries.  Mercury in this placement does not give a hoot about what other people think.  Mercury is conjunct Uranus so this adds an unconventional and brilliant flash of insight to our thinking.  Where would you dare to be courageous enough to say what you think without caring what others think of you?

New Moon is also conjunct with Venus retrograde.  At some point, we have to regenerate and give back to ourselves what we put out into the world.  If we run on empty, we have nothing to give.   Venus is what we attract; it’s our values and sense of self-worth.  If our values and sense of self worth is not very healthy we will attract unhealthy people and situations.  We must start to focus on loving ourselves more so that we have healthier interactions with other people.

There is challenging energy between Jupiter and Pluto with Mercury and Uranus.  We want so much to break free of the past shackles that bind us and to do so, we must be brave enough to do something different this time.

Who dares to go after their dreams and make those dreams into manifest reality?  It could be you!

New Moon in Capricorn

A Renewal: New Moon in Capricorn conjuncts Mercury retrograde, Uranus opposite Jupiter, Mars conjunct the South Node.

As Mercury is still in retrograde – at its midpoint- when you plant your new Moon seeds, let them simmer longer than you normally would– reflect more deeply about what you want to create for the long-term.  2017 is going to be a long ride and unusual ride.

Capricorn is an earth sign and earth is more receptive to the outer world.  Saturn, the lord of time, its ruler – this is a seed that needs to be planted deep in the earth and watered and cared for correctly – as you plan on building structure and foundation to those things you want to last.

This new Moon is asking us if there is anything we have done in the past that we would like to try again, this time with more refinement, more responsibility, less emotionality —  that benefits humanity in some way.  No tall order, here.  We can benefit humanity by being more mindful and cleaning up our side of the fence.

Uranus is still in opposition of Jupiter and Mar is conjunct the South Node and Neptune.  Are we going to hold on to the past and react in old conditioned ways?  We can move toward understanding what triggers us and find healthier coping skills to deal.  Perhaps, we all can benefit from an attitude change – whatever will burst –  the energy is calling for us to move toward that Virgo energy – discern, discriminate, analyze – and as Virgo is all about health – start finding new ways to live a healthier life.

I wish you all a safe and joyous New Year!

New Moon in Sagittarius

As you begin to realize that every different type of music, everybody’s individual music, has its own rhythm, life, language and heritage, you realize how life changes and you learn how to be more open and adaptive to what is around us.   Yo-Yo Ma

The New Moon in Sagittarius (our beliefs) is conjunct the Sun (soul purpose) rising at the horizon projecting our beliefs into the world.   We want everyone to know what we think about (fill in the blank — ).  Jupiter rules Sagittarius – there is an opportunity to expand our beliefs, our philosophy of life and, with an open mind, listen to what others have to say.  Our beliefs are only one-sided when we don’t include another perspective or at least attempt to understand the other side.  We don’t have to agree with anyone to maintain our beliefs – we can stand in our own truth and respect the other side.

Moon is squaring North node in Virgo in the 9th house (ruler of Jupiter and Sagittarius) and South Node in Pisces 3rd house, conjunct Neptune.  This understanding other people’s perspectives will be challenging.  The South Node represents the past, our poor coping skills and Pisces represents illusions.

The North Node is where we are headed and the North Node is in Mercury-ruled Virgo – questioning our beliefs – using discrimination and analysis to sort the bullshit out from the truth.  This is going to be challenging for us to do yet if we want to be the change we wish to see out in the world.  Be open to and flexible to change.

Your thoughts are a like a light switch that affect how you feel.  You have complete control over your inner world. When you change your thoughts, you change your inner world – and therefore, your perceptions of the world shift.
